PeopleMeet Review

If you are single and have tried online dating but haven’t had success yet or you are new to online dating, PeopleMeet wants you to be a part of their vast community. This online dating site is also for those that are looking for chat buddies, pen pals and new friends. PeopleMeet has a homepage with a large photo collage of friendly-looking people that come from all walks of life. This collage instantly gives the impression that everyone is welcome here. Regardless of where you are at this point in your life, you may just find your ideal match or an awesome friend among the thousands of PeopleMeet members.

How it works

To be a part of this eclectic community of singles, you will need to construct a profile. Your first task is to write a short paragraph or two so others can get a sense of who you are. You can also share the type of person that you are seeking which can help others determine if you are a good match for them. The Additional Info section is short and asks for general information about your body type, education, income, pets, occupation and ethnicity. There is also a Personality Question and Answer section with questions such as “Do you enjoy cooking? Are you romantic? Do you enjoy going to the movies? and How much do you like reading?”

Other important tasks on your PeopleMeet to-do list include uploading a profile shot so members can see the real you behind the profile. You can enhance your profile by adding an audio file from your computer or use your telephone to create one. Finish your profile by selecting a background theme along with matching icons.

Once you have completed your profile, you can do a search for your ideal match. You can do a quick search by selecting filters like age range, location and relationship status. Or you can do an advanced search by selecting up to nine more filters like ethnicity, height, religion, build and zodiac sign. You also have the option of searching by Username, Today’s Birthday, Keyword and Online Now.

If you see someone that you want to connect with, you can add them to your Favorites list and send them a virtual flirt. Unfortunately, you will need to upgrade to a Premium membership to send an e-mail. Another way to find a great match is to try the I’m Interested carousel feature, which enables you to quickly browse through profiles. You can select “Yes, Next Profile” or “No, Next Profile” for each person that you view. If you like the person, a virtual flirt will be sent to that individual.

Upgrading to a premium membership can help you get the most out of PeopleMeet. A notification feature will tell you who has viewed you, fave’d you, flirted with you and who likes your photos. You will also be able to chat online as well as access the videos that members have posted to their profile. There are three different pricing plans that you can choose from: the six month plan is $6.49 a month, the three month plan is $8.99 a month and the one month plan is $13.99 a month.

The Good…

The ability to view videos and listen to audio files so you get a true picture of the other member

Pricing is very affordable compared to other online dating sites

The Bad…

There aren’t any forums, blogs or chat rooms

And The Ugly

The interface is very plain and there isn’t any modern graphics that can help keep a user interested in the site
